Protect your secrets

Please do not send passwords, private keys, passphrases, production host credentials, or sensitive terminal output. If a screenshot contains private server details, redact them before sending.

Common checks

  • Confirm the host address, port, and username.
  • Confirm the remote server allows your selected authentication method.
  • For private keys, confirm the file path and passphrase.
  • For port forwarding, confirm the local port is not already in use.

Local data location

Runtime data is stored in the Electron user data directory for liteSSH, commonly under ~/Library/Application Support/litessh on macOS.
